We had a great night at Next Adventure with 18 members showing up and several exciting developments announced. Top on my list of exciting news is the scheduling of our next work party on November 8th at Leverich Park in Vancouver. If you haven't been following along, the course is approved, baskets are on order and Stumptown along with a couple other organizations will be pouring cement for tee signs and collars on that day. We'll provide lunch and cement, bring your muscles, shovels, wheelbarrels etc.
Plans are under way for the Stumptown Slosh Series. November 15th is the first event at Hornings Hideout. Jeff Haggerty is the Tournament Director. The December event co-TDs are Jason Pinkal and Carie Coleman. January will be a break from the Slosh Series as Stumptown lends a hand to put on an IceBowl event at Lunchtime. Stay tuned for more details on February and March.
Persons joining Stumptown through the end of the year will get 2008 and 2009 membership privileges.
Following the meeting the mini-disc golf tournament was underway. Brody marched out to an early lead with a pair of birdies but George fought back and won the event with a -5 (not bad for 7 holes!). Chris scored the only ace of the night on hole #7. Everyone won a prize courtesy of Stumptown and Next Adventure! Indoor mini-disc golf is a blast!
